Maggie Elizabeth “Liz” Bridges, 74, of Orange passed away Aug. 8, at her home surrounded by her love ones. She was a native of Arkansas; born Sept. 19, 1937 to parents Dola Mae (Nesmith) and Dennis Murphy. She had lived in the Orange area most of her life. Liz was a caring and giving person to others, who loved spending time with her family. She will be missed dearly by all.

She is survived by her daughters, Pam Jones and husband, Richard of Kirbyville, Mattlyn Terry and husband, Marty of Evadale, Georga Ann White of Buna, Mary Lou Bridges of Orange; sons, Johnny Ray Sellers of Orange, Allen Bridges and wife, Melissa of Lufkin; sisters, Jackie Louise Caraway of Orange.

Also left to cherish her memory are her 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, 18 step great grandchildren.

She was preceded is death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Murphy; husband, Lee Coy Bridges; sons, Andy Sellers, Lee Roy Bridges; sisters, Maddie Meryle Womack, Mattie Mae Burke, Gloria Ruth Sellers; half sister, Lenora Ford; brothers, J L Murphy, Robert Murphy, J C Murphy; half brother, Fred Murphy.

A visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 10, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at Dorman Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, at 10:00 am, with the Rev. Stephen A Gault officiating. Burial will follow at Sudduth Bluff Cemetery in Newton County.

Pallbearers will be Allen Bridges, Marty Terry, Richard Jones, Dennis Sellers, Brandon Sellers and Duane Gault.
