St. Mary Catholic School started classes this Monday. It has been a busy week in all the classes with new and returning students and staff. Their students learn math, reading, science, social studies, music, art, library skills, computer skills along with religion.

Each morning they begin their day in the gym with prayer and pledges to the United States and Texas flags. After which Prek4 students go to their classroom with Mrs. Angie Smith, their teacher.

Prayer and pledges are reinforced in their class. The four year olds are also already practicing “God Bless America” to sing at the school’s annual Veteran’s Day Program.

Pictured are Mrs. Smith’s students Clay Darby (holding the Texas flag), Blake Steele (holding the U. S. flag) with the other students reciting the pledges.
