BEAUMONT, Texas – The Lamar University athletic department announced the launching of Redolution Rewards, a program that gives fans chances to win great prizes such as a new iPad, a trip to Lamar’s football game at Oklahoma State in 2013 or a place on the sidelines as an honorary coach.

Fans interested in joining can visit www.RedolutionRewards.com to register for free. The program encourages fans to follow Lamar teams on social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter or Foursquare. Fans earn points every time they participate. Those points can lead to prizes that range all the way from trips to T-shirts. The program is open to all Lamar fans, not just students.

Fans can earn points by tweeting a message using Lamar hash tags on Twitter, liking posts on the Lamar athletics Facebook account, retweeting LamarCards tweets on Twitter, sharing a photo taken during a Lamar game to Redolution Photos and numerous other ways.

“With Redolution Rewards, we can reward our fans for interacting with us via our social networking sites,” said Michael Wilkinson, Lamar’s assistant director of marketing and promotions. “It’s something they already do naturally, and this program will enhance their experience. Social networking is here to stay, and we know that Redolution Rewards will be as well.”
