James Walter Arnaud, 90, of Port Arthur, formally of Orange, passed away at St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur on Aug. 27, after a short illness. He was born in Eunice, La. on Nov. 21, 1921. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and later went to work for DuPont in Orange where he retired from after 31years.

James loved sports and was involved in Little League and Teen Baseball for many years. He was an avid golfer and could be seen on a daily basis at DERA where he taught many of his kids and grandkids the game.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sealy and Maggie Arnaud, brother, Bill Arnaud, sister, Lillian, son, Randy Arnaud, and grandson, Frank P. Smart.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Juanita, who he was married to for 73 years.

He is also survived by one daughter, Judy and husband, Joseph Schoolfield of Port Arthur; son, David Arnaud and wife, Kay of Nederland, son, Keith Arnaud of Houston; his beloved grandchildren, Michael Arnaud of Mandeville, La., Glen Wyatt of Bridge City, Alex Arnaud of Houston, Jami Fairley and husband, Michael of Galveston, Cheryl Weaver and husband, Brent of Nederland, Davy Arnaud and wife, Stephanie of Montreal, Canada, Josh Arnaud and wife, Jennifer of the Woodlands, Amy Dishman and husband, Paul of Houston; nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
