David Harold DeLassus

David Harold DeLassus, 56, of Orange passed away on the Monday, Sept. 3, to become a soldier for the Lord. He was a native of Helena, AK; born on May 8, 1956 to parents Henrietta Yocom and Harold Reed DeLassus.

David was a great history buff, like his mother. He enjoyed reading, watching the History Channel, watching videos; anything that was true and factual about the events of our nation. He had a great passion to learn about past wars. David was a loving man, who will be missed dearly by his family, who he loved spending time with, especially his grandchildren.

David is preceded in death by his mother, Henrietta Yocom and nephew, James DeLassus.

He is survived by his father, Harold Reed DeLassus; stepmother, Faye DeLassus; sisters, Wanda Sparkman and husband, Donald, Sandra McIntire and husband, Robert, Rita Delouses, Melissa DeLassus; brothers, Daniel DeLassus and wife, Christine, Anthony DeLassus, Harold R. DeLassus Jr. and wife, Janet, Linnie DeLassus and wife, Carmilla; five adopted grandchildren; 29 nieces and nephews; 19 great nieces and nephews and a very special Uncle Red.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, Sept. 14, at 2:00 pm at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park on Old Hwy. 90 in Orange. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
