OHS physics students experiment with rockets

Last updated 9/27/2012 at Noon

Physics students in Mr. Gilson’s class at Orangefield High School conducted a lab in their physics class to determine the maximum height an alcohol based rocket could achieve. The students used a stop watch to calculate the hang time, then used that time to calculate the height of the rocket. The students were excited, engaged and learning actual hands on experience to supplement their classroom work.

Pictured are students preparing their experimental rocket for launch at OHS.
