The Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School Bear Stage Players, under the direction of Theatre Director Cory Broom, will present their first fall production of the year on Oct. 13, at 7:30 PM, Oct. 14 at 2:30 PM, and Oct. 15 at 7:30 PM. The group tackles the laugh-out loud Texas Size comedy, "Southern Hospitality."

The play tells the story of the four Futrelle sisters who live in the small town of Fayro, TX. Fayro, is a dying town and when the sisters hear that a big salsa manufacturing plant may locate their headquarters in their hometown, the girls pull together to put on a festival (Fayro Days), to attract the new business and, in turn, help rebuild the community.

The festival includes a mock beauty pageant, civil war reenactment, and a petting zoo – all put on by the Futrelle family. Things are turned upside down in the process, as a series of comical subplots also develop. This is a hilarious family comedy with a perfect Texas twist.

The four sisters are played by Kelsey Strother (senior), Kristin Yokum (senior), Alexa Guilbeau (senior), and Haley Wright (junior). The play also features a slew of other talented performers and technicians.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and can be purchased at the door of the LCM High School Auditorium.
