George Michael Knott (known to most as "Mike"), 65, formerly of Orange, passed away in Houston on Oct. 7. Mike was born in Oklahoma City, on July 17, 1947 to parents George and Vera Knott. He resided most of his life in Orange, until moving to Houston 10 years ago.

He always loved singing in church, working with cars, and visiting friends. Mike never met a stranger and would always lend a helping hand.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents.

Mike is survived by his wife Vicky of Houston; son Cody Knott and wife Holly of Orange; brother Phil Knott and wife LaJuana of Bryant, AR; sister Carol Greer of Center; grandson Cameron Knott of Orange; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to remember Mike's life will be held on Sunday Oct. 28, at 2:00 pm at the Orange First Church of the Nazarene on MLK. Friends and family who would like to remember Mike, are invited to attend the service.
