Vertis Kerry Raymer, 71, of Orange, died Saturday, Nov. 3, at Baptist Hospital in Orange. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.

Born in Orange on Aug. 3, 1941, Mr. Raymer was the son of James Benjamin and Elnora (Lavine) Raymer. He worked as a heavy duty crane operator with Levingston Shipbuilding.

Mr. Raymer is survived by his sister, Velma Morvent of Vidor; brother, James Raymer of West Orange; and many nieces and nephews.
