Pinehurst Dollar Store robbed

The Dollar Store, located at 2500 MLK Dr. in Pinehurst, was the victim of an aggravated robbery Wednesday, Nov. 7, at about 5:06 pm. According to store personnel, a white male entered the store and made a purchase. When the employee opened the cash register to give the man his change, he pulled a pistol and threatened the employee with it. The suspect then removed an undetermined amount of money from the register and fled the store.

The suspect is described as being about five feet, nine inches tall, and weighing about 175 pounds. He has short gray hair, gray, stubby facial hair, and a reddish complexion. He was possibly in his late thirties. He was wearing a black toboggan hat, red, long sleeved sweatshirt, and light colored blue jeans.

The get-away vehicle is described as a late model silver Chevrolet Impala with damage to the rear passenger side area.
