Two people were arrested Sunday, Nov. 11, for public intoxication. Officer Jeffrey Busby with the Orange Police Dept., was dispatched to the area of Womack Rd. and IH-10 in reference to a vehicle that was parked half in the road and half in a ditch. Upon arrival, Officer Busby observed a silver Toyota Land Cruiser that was backed into a small pond.

Two suspects were observed to be standing next to the vehicle in the 2000 block of Womack. Busby made contact with the suspects, who were identified as 18 year old Kristin Ivy of Orange, and 21 year old Jared Hickman, of Bridge City. He observed both to appear to be under the influence of alcohol. Both had slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and were unsteady on their feet.

Both suspects were placed under arrest for public intoxication, and transported to the Orange County Jail.
