A Buna man was arrested on outstanding warrants Tuesday evening after he tried to leave the scene of an accident. Morgan Bland, 22, told police he was trying to dodge a truck towing a large trailer in the 2800 block of Chasse Ridge. Bland told police in trying to dodge the truck, he lost control of his vehicle and went off the roadway.

Bland was given a field sobriety test and was able to pass it. Officer Christopher Cowart requested a warrant check from dispatch, and he was notified that Bland had two warrants out of Pinehurst; one for disregarding a red light and the other for failure to appear.

Bland was taken into custody and arrested for the warrants.
