UPDATE: Suspect in double homicide remains in custody, investigation ongoing

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a report of gunshots on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, in the 5600 block of Woodside Drive in Vidor.

Deputies arrived on scene around 3 p.m. to discover an adult male and female deceased. Both victims appeared to have sustained gunshot wounds.

The victims were identified as husband and wife, Aaron Conn, 34, and Summer Conn, 30, both were residents of Vidor. The victims were transported to the Jefferson County Morgue for autopsies.

The suspect, Curtis Allen Garrison, 26, was located by Sheriff's Deputies at another residence in the 15000 block of FM 1442 in the Mauriceville area and was detained without incident.

It was determined that the incident occurred at the suspect’s residence in the 5600 block of Woodside Dr. in Vidor. An arrest warrant was issued for Curtis Garrison and he was charged with Capital Murder. He was booked in the Orange County Jail where he remains in custody.

The suspect was arraigned by Orange County Pct. 3 Justice of the Peace Janice Menard and bond was set at $1 million. The suspect is currently in the Orange County Correctional Facility.

According to Chief Deputy Clint Hodgkinson in a press release, gunshots were reported Friday in the area of Woodside Drive in north Vidor.

Deputies arrived on scene around 3 p.m. to discover the bodies of an adult male and female. Both victims appeared to have sustained gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as husband and wife, Aaron Conn, 34, and Summer Conn, 30. The victims were transported to the Jefferson County Morgue for an autopsy.
