George “Bo” Williams

The Celebration of Life for Mr. George “Bo” Williams, 65, of Orange, will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Sparrow Funeral Home. The Rev. Herbert Winston, pastor of White Rose Church of God in Christ of Port Arthur will officiate. Rites of Christian Burial will follow in Hollywood Community Cemetery under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.

He died Thursday at Pinehurst Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Shelby County, TX, he was raised in Orange, lived in Houston, a number of years, and returned to Orange in 2007. He was a self-employed roofer in his working years.

He is survived by his son, George W. Powell of Houston; four daughters, Johnetha Brown of Orange, and Dannielle Graham, Georgette Powell, and Korin Andrus, all of Houston; three brothers, Andra Powell and Jimmy Powell, both of Orange, and John Hall of Boiser City, LA; two sisters, Wilma Arline and Jenny Brackens, both of Orange; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
