Mauriceville Elementary holds annual Purple Santa drive

Mauriceville Elementary Student Council has begun their annual Purple Santa fundraiser. Purple Santa is MVE Student Council’s way to raise money to purchase Christmas gifts for needy children in the Mauriceville Area. After raising money, through generous donations from parents, staff and the community, student council will purchase age appropriate gifts for children in need.

One hundred percent of the donations are used to purchase these gifts. During the fundraiser, the student council will sell “I Supported Purple Santa” tags for 25 cents each. These tags will be placed in grade level containers for a drawing at the end of the fundraiser. One student from each grade level will win a $20 Wal-Mart gift card provided by the MVE Student Council.

Please help the Student Council make this a Merry Christmas for the children in our area. Donations are being accepted from Nov. 28 through Dec 12.

For additional information, contact student council sponsor Mary Kay Berndt at [email protected].
