Sue Ann Brodnax, 71, of Vidor died Thursday, Dec. 6, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO. A native of Coffee County, AL, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Sue was a member of Pecan Acres Baptist Church in Vidor and was a active member in Rachel Sunday School Class. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and great- grandmother.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, Dec. 15, at Pecan Acres Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Del-Rose Cemetery in Vidor. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 – 9:00 pm Friday, Dec. 14, at Pecan Acres Baptist Church.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband Martin Brodnax, father Wallace M. Cain and brother Jimmy Cain.

She is survived by her sons Darrell Free and his wife Linda, Robert Free and his wife Kadie, Arthur Brodnax and his wife Janice all of Vidor, Randy Free and his wife Leslie of Sour Lake; daughters Sharon Lopez and her husband Mike of Beaumont, Sheila Simon and her husband Howard, Christy Malagarie and her husband Dan all of Vidor; mother Dora Cain of Independence, MO; sisters Angie Howe of Blue Springs , MO, Jeanette Free of Harker Heights; grandchildren Kadril Smith, Peggy Sue Free, Martin Free, Haleigh Walker, Charesia Decker, Brittany Free, Rebecca Bollinger, Dana Free, Ty Malagarie, Ashlee Malagarie, and great grandchildren Mackenzie Smith, Cambralynn Decker and Audreyanna Decker.
