Pinehurst VFD holds annual Christmas Dinner

The Pinehurst Volunteer Fire Department held its annual Christmas Dinner on Saturday, Dec. 8. Members of the fire department, wanting to pay tribute to local veterans, presented a plaque to Phillip Aaron Pollock thanking him for his service to our country as a former member of the United States Army. Pollock holds dual police commissions with the Pinehurst Police Department and the Pct. 2 Constables office. The plaque was presented by Gordy Fregia, PVFD President and Chaplain, Randy Anding.
Also present was Officer Pollock’s parents and grand parents. Pinehurst City Administrator Joe Parkhurst led the gathering with a prayer before dinner. The Christmas dinner, which has become a tradition, brings together members of all city departments and their families. The dinner was catered by Pinehurst Barbecue.
