Orange man arrested for possession, resisting arrest

A 26 year old Orange man was arrested after his vehicle had been towed from a fire lane in the 3000 block of MacArthur Dr. Blake James Roy knocked on the door of an apartment security guard in an attempt to locate his vehicle. When the security guard, who is also a police officer answered the door, Roy asked “Are you the cop?”.

When the officer identified himself as a peace officer, he noticed that Roy had a small child in his possession, as well as a marijuana cigarette tucked behind his ear. When Roy was confronted about the substance, he ran from the scene, but was quickly apprehended after a foot chase.

Roy was booked into the OC Jail for possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance, and resisting arrest. Child Protective Services was contacted due to the fact that the child has been left behind when Roy fled the scene.
