Mona Lee Raisek

Mona Lee Raisek, 77, of Beaumont left this world on Friday, Dec. 21, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born to the late J. S. and Blanche Moore, Sr. on Jan. 13, 1935, in Lake Charles. She was married to the late Jay A. Raisek and they lived together in numerous places before settling down in Springfield, Ill. where she was a business owner of H&R Block.

Upon relocating to Beaumont, she became a manager of Waite's Business Services and later a manager for Westhaven Apartments. Mona was proud to have been an ordained minister of Eternal Truth Center of Beaumont. She was a member of Unity Church Beaumont and a Teacher in A Course in Miracles. She also loved to travel and spend time with family.

Mona was preceded in death by her husband, Jay A. Raisek; mother, Blanche McInnis Moore Waite; father, J. S. Moore, Sr.; brother J. S. Moore, Jr.; sisters Elizabeth Gnaggy and Patricia Moore, and longtime friend Marilyn Williams.

She is survived by four children, Janene and Ray Blackburn, of Terrell, Tx., Rhonda and Steven Broussard, of Pt. Neches, Renee and Gary Spencer, of Beaumont, Trevor and Rhonda Williams, of Springfield, Ill.

Mona is also survived by 10 wonderful grandchildren, Joshua and Trisha Blackburn, of Rockwall, Leanna and Aaron Kimball, of McKinney, Christena and John Scales III, of Bridge City, Brandy Buck, of Pt. Neches, Tucker and Chelsea Broussard, of Groves, Brentleigh Broussard, of Pt. Neches, Emily Richardson, of Houston, Anthony Richardson, of Beaumont, James and Jessica Williams, of Springfield, Ill. She was also blessed with nine great grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at Jan. 5, at Unity Church Beaumont.
