Charles Nathan Trahan, 84, of Orange passed away on Monday, Jan. 7, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. He was native of Johnson Bayou, La; born on Feb. 13, 1928 to parents Annie Mae (Romero) and Theodore Sidney Trahan.

He was employed with Polysar as a supervisor painter for many years and was a member of Orangefield Church of Christ. Nathan enjoyed the outdoors, going fishing, hunting, trapping and working cattle. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be missed dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Trahan; brother, Armond Trahan, and grandson, Spencer Lyle Trahan.

Nathan is survived by his wife, Lola Trahan of Orange; daughter, Darlene Riley and husband, Brian of Orange; sons, Charles Trahan and wife Jeanette of Fort Worth, Leonard Trahan and wife, Carla of Orange, Carl Trahan and wife, Kim of Houston; sisters, Georgia McRight of Sulphur, Leanna Broussard and husband, Melvin of Sour Lake, Elaine Carter and husband, Sonny of Pineville, La, Linda Vining and husband, Ron of Monroe, La, Faye Melancon of Youngsville; brothers, Ted Trahan and wife, Rebecca of Lake Charles, and Carroll Trahan and wife Mary Ann of Sulphur. Also left to cherish his memory are his 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 10, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Dorman Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, Jan. 11, at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with Larry Tomlin officiating. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange.

Honoring as pallbearers will be Brett Trahan, Bryan Trahan, Jake Trahan, Gregg Gunter, Cody Trahan, Odell Caraway, David Tincher and Jason Tincher.
