After a long and courageous fight against cancer, Suzanne Harbison went to be with the Lord, surrounded by family and friends at her home Sunday, Jan. 6. Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, January 10, at Maplecrest Baptist Church in Vidor.

Suzanne was born to Jessie and Dorothy Wright on Sept. 7, 1967 in Athens, Al. She graduated from Buna High School in 1985 and went to work for Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in 1986. She was given a medical retirement from the Christus systems in 2012.

Suzanne had a broad sense of family that not only included those related to her but a whole host of friends, all of whom she loved very much. She also loved her church and church family and especially the young people. God gifted her with a beautiful voice, which she loved to use singing praises to Him.

She is survived by her husband, Gregg Harbison; daughters, Lori Anthony and Cristy Wright (Nick); sons, Clayton Harbison and Chance Harbison; mother Dorothy Wright, father Jessie Wright (Lorene); mother-in-law, Donna LeFleur (Guy); father-in-law, James Harbison (Wendy); grandchildren, Davin, Mylee, and Jonah Wright and Aryanna Harbison; brother, Paul Wright (Cheryl) and sister, Christin Foux (John).

She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends, all who loved her very much; and her faithful dog, Lily.

A special thanks to Nelda Norris for her loving care and support given to Suzanne.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation or the youth program at Maplecrest Baptist Church, Vidor.
