Edward Lloyd “Bud” Quinn, 85, of Leesville, La., passed on Jan. 15, with his loving wife at his side. He was born Nov. 29, 1927, was a native of Nederland, and was a longtime resident of Leesville.

A veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he honorably served his country for a total of 20 years, including service in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army. Following his retirement from the military, he continued his dedication to the U.S. Government as a civil service employee for another 20 years.

He leaves behind many cherished memories, which will be shared by his wife of 37 years, Mabel Quinn; sons, Glen, and wife Lynn, and Mike Quinn all of Campti; daughters, Dorsey Quinn of Shelbyville, Tn., Becky Quinn of Houston, and Melanie Quinn of Knoxville, Tn.; sister, Oneida, and husband Orvis Beard of Nederland, stepchildren, Vivian, Bud, Bob, and wife Marijene, Romela, Lou, and husband Jim, of Bridge City; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren whom he dearly loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Sarah Quinn; his first wife, Dorsey “Susie” Street Quinn; brothers, Louis “LV” and Preston “Peck” Quinn, sister, Opal Quinn Bailey and grandson, Casey Quinn.

He will be greatly missed by countless friends and loved ones.
