Deweyville student suspended after hit list discovered

The Newton County Sheriff’s Officer has arrested a 12 year old boy from Deweyville for a hit list he admitted writing after the list was found in a classroom at the school. The student was arrested and charged with making terrorist threats . He is being held at the Minnie Rogers Juvenile Center in Beaumont.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the Deweyville principal called them Monday about the list. The note was said to have listed several names. The student has been suspended from school.
