BCCC names Dollar Store Business of the Month

The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce recognized the Bridge City Dollar General as February’s Business of the Month at their monthly networking coffee held at aNe Insurance, 1025 Texas Avenue, Suite B, Tuesday morning. Dollar General has been a community minded business from the time they arrived in Bridge City.
Whether it is simply promoting team spirit by allowing high school students to paint their store front windows or them choosing to get involved with the Christmas Parade and supporting the chamber of commerce during the Christmas season. It is no wonder that the store has a large customer base with the leadership and commitment of Store Manager Andrea Allen.
She, along with the employees and customers of the store, worked diligently to help provide toys to the Ministerial Alliance so that the children in this community would have a better Christmas. They delivered hundreds of toys that were appreciated so much. The store has a friendly team who work hard to keep the store neat and all the merchandise stocked.
Dollar General is located at 385 Texas Avenue and is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
The Bridge City Chamber was also able to surprise Store Manager Andrea Allen who thought she was there only to receive the store award. She was named the Employee of the Month. She is a very sweet person with a kind and gentle heart and is always willing to go the extra mile to help anyone in need. Very caring, friendly and helpful. Another Dollar General employee stated she is always telling Andrea how special she is and this award just proves it. District Manager Cindy Phflyder finds it a joy to work with Andrea and the Bridge City Dollar General Store.
Dollar Store Manager Andrea Allen was honored to not only accept the Business of the Month award from the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce, but she was also named the Employee of the Month. She was presented the awards by Bridge City Chamber Ambassadors Ethyl Marchand, Scot Shaffer and Shirley Zimmerman (not pictured).
