Arrest made in $240,000 burglary; still seeking additional suspect
Police have recovered about 70 percent of an estimated $240,000 worth gold, diamonds and firearms stolen in a recent burglary in Orange.
According to Cliff Hargrave, of the Orange Police Department, Mary Faulkner, was arrested in Houston by officers with the Houston Police Department after she attempted to sell the stolen items at two jewelry dealers and a pawn shop.
Houston investigators are searching for her son, Clint Gordon, 23, of Orange for outstanding warrants of possession of stolen property. OPD investigators are also looking for Gordon, who is a person of interest, in the burglary in Orange.
The charges stem from an incident in Orange on Feb. 14. According to reports, officers were called to the scene around midnight in the 2600 block of Fairway Drive in reference to a burglary. Officers met with the victim who stated an unknown person had entered his residence and removed the items without consent. In addition, to the loose diamonds, gold and miscellaneous diamond rings, two firearms were stolen.
