The City of Orange Fire Department responded to a report of a house fire at 1215 N. 3rd St., at approximately 3:00 Wednesday, April 10. The first unit to arrive on the scene reported moderate smoke and some flames coming from the attic. The house was unoccupied, and high winds were fanning the flames, so the fire spread quickly across the roof.

Fire crews had to remove several roof coverings to get to the seat of the fire to extinguish it. Firefighters remained on the scene for over an hour removing roof materials to insure all the fire was extinguished. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was unintentional, likely electrical in nature.
