CCS students advance to Nationals in creative writing

Several junior high and high school students at Community Christian School participated in the annual ACSI Creative Writing Festival. Students first competed on the local school level, then advanced to the Regional level.

The following students received ribbons at the regional level: Keleigh Dempsey, ninth grade, excellent ribbon; Nia Swinburn, seventh grade, superior ribbon, and Michaela Click, seventh grade, Excellent ribbon.

Four high school students advanced from the Regional level to the National level. They are recognized with a superior ribbon, and a certificate for qualifying for the 2013 Regional Creative Writing Festival and advancing to the National Festival. The four students to advance to the National Festival are as follows: Ethan Beard, ninth grade, Essay; Emily Breaux, ninth grade, Short Story; Emily Due, ninth grade, Poem, and Lindsey Stevenson, ninth grade, Poem.
