Teen killed in wreck on FM 1078 in Orange Co.
At approximately noon, there was a two vehicle crash on FM 1078 at Bancroft in Orange county.
A 2006 Ford Mustang was traveling southbound on FM 1078. A 2011 Mercedes was traveling northbound on the same roadway. The driver of the Ford, 16 year old Blair Nichole Ray of Orange, crossed the center line and struck the Mercedes.
Ray was pronounced dead at 12:10 p.m. by Judge Derry Dunn. The driver of the Mercedes, 54 year old Debra Jefferson of Orange, was transported in stable condition to St. Elizabeth hospital. Both occupants were wearing seatbelts.
This crash is still under investigation by Orange County Troopers.
