An Orange woman was arrested Monday, April 15, when officer J.C. Steele, and Sgt. Laughlin observed her approaching a man pumping fuel at the Exxon station in the 300 block of Lutcher. The woman, Charlotte Moses, 42, of Orange, displayed poor balance as she was walking toward the male subject.

When the officers made contact with Moses, they observed her to have slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. There was also the odor of alcohol on her breath, and person. When asked if she had been drinking, she stated she had drank two beers. The woman was arrested and transported to the Orange County Jail, where she was booked and released to jail staff.

Once Moses was released to jail staff, she was being dressed out in an inmate uniform. Upon being dressed out, a corrections officer located a “crack” pipe on Moses’ person. She was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
