OPD executes search warrant; one man arrested

Investigators with the Orange Police Department recently executed a search warrant which resulted in the arrest of an Orange man.

At about 4 p.m. Thursday officers from the OPD Narcotics Division arrived at 3819 Meeks Drive to Apartment L7. As a result of the search warrant, Codey Dwayne Janice, 22, was arrested and charged with three third degree felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and two Class A misdemeanor charges. Officers seized 2 grams of crack cocaine which was found in the suspect’s pocket while one Hydrocodone pill and two vials of anabolic steroids were found inside the apartment. A .45 caliber pistol was found in the suspect’s vehicle.

Janice was booked into the Orange County Jail and bond was set at a total of $20,000. He was able to post bond on Sunday and was released from custody.

If convicted of the third degree felony charges he could face up to 10 years in prison and a fine not to exceed $10,000.
