Pinehurst Police Briefs

Officers with the Pinehurst Police Department responded to the following calls between April 17, and April 26:

April 17:

An assault was reported at a mobile home park in the 3800 block of Pheasant St.;

A disturbance was reported in a mobile home park in the 3600 block of W. Park. A 45 year old white female identified as Shannon Donham, was arrested for Assault.

April 22:

A report of threats was received in the 2500 block of Martin Luther King Dr.

A vehicle theft was reported in the 3400 block of Pelican. The vehicle was later located, unattended, in the 3500 block of Little Cypress Dr. in Orange.

Keith Kirkwood, a 44 year old black male was arrested at the Orange County Parole Office located at 851 Dal Sasso Dr. for an outstanding parole violation warrant.

A vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of Strickland Dr. and Martin St.

April 23:

A vehicle burglary was reported at a used car dealership in the 2600 block of Martin Luther King Dr.

An arson was reported in the 3100 block of East Martin St.

April 24:

Telephone Harassment was reported in the 3600 block of Martin St.

A 22 year old Hispanic male, identified as Yosue Artiga, was arrested for outstanding traffic warrants following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Strickland Dr.

April 25:

A 69 year old black male was arrested for an outstanding Parole Warrant at the Pinehurst City Hall after he arrived for a court appearance for unrelated charges.

April 26:

A 27 year old white female, identified as Lacy Lynn Thomas, was arrested in the 3400 block of W. Martin after giving a fictitious name to an officer on a traffic stop. It was discovered she had outstanding arrest warrants. She was charged with Failure to Identify, a Class A misdemeanor.

Following the report of a theft at a retail store, a traffic stop was conducted in the 2500 block of Martin Luther King Dr. A 23 year old white female identified as Amanda Michele Myers was arrested for several traffic offenses. Property from the theft was recovered, and criminal trespass warnings were issued to her and three passengers.
