Molly “Dot” Barras, 65, of Vidor died Monday, May 13, at her residence. A native of Silsbee, she has lived in Vidor since 1979, and was a cook with Changing Seasons Nursing Home in Vidor. Molly was a member of New Cherry Grove Baptist Church in Gist.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, at Memorial Funeral Home.

Molly was preceded in death by her grandson Douglas Wayne Crawford; parents Berger and Willie Wright; sister Sue Hofferek, and father of her children Douglas Crawford.

Molly is survived by her husband William Barras of Dayton; daughters Kimberly Samuels and husband Alvin, Leslie Moore and husband Marshall Keith all of Vidor; son Wayne Douglas Crawford and wife Nina of Vidor; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and numerous close family and friends.

The family would like to give a big thank you to the Odyssey Hospice nurses and staff.
