Jimmy David Chesser, 59, of Vidor died Sunday, May 12, at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Vidor. David was District Chief with the Beaumont Fire and Rescue Department where he worked for 36 years. He was a member of Beaumont Professional Fire Fighters Local Union #399.

He was a proud member of the NRA and Southeast Texas Sportsman Club. He was a past board member with the Vidor Little League Baseball Association for many years and was the president of the Buck Valley Hunting Club in Llano.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, May 17, at First Baptist Church in Vidor. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday, May 16, at First Baptist Church.

David is survived by his wife Michelle Chesser of Vidor; sons Shaun and Taylor Chesser, Reid Biffle, daughters Riley and Ramee Biffle all of Vidor; brother John Chesser of Crystal Beach; sister Cheryl Richey and her husband Tillman of Orangefield; and one grandson Carson Chesser.

David's personal request was, if you choose, to please wear camouflage apparel to the service.
