Calvin Gene Carr, 72, of Vidor died Wednesday, May 15, at his residence. A native of Palestine, TX., he has lived in Vidor for 67 years and was a retired supervisor with DM Petroleum Operations.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, at Memorial Funeral Home.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mary Carr.

He is survived by his wife Sandy Carr; son Gene Carr; and daughter Debbie Carr Stampley, all of Vidor; five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
