Chief Petty Officer Lloyd Seago, U.S. Navy, (R), died Monday, May 20, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange. Officiating will be Chris Adkins, associate pastor of Harmony Baptist Church in Vidor.

Born in Shelby County, on Feb. 25, 1939, he was the son of Lonzo Taylor Seago and Mildred (Smith) Seago.

Chief Petty Officer Seago served in the U.S. Navy in the Seabees for 20 years where he was an equipment operator and Navy diver. Following his retirement from the Navy, he worked for International Mills in Illinois and in his free time, he enjoyed fishing.

Preceded in death by his parents, Lonzo and Mildred Seago and son, Christopher Lloyd Daniel Seago, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Heather Seago of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, Jared Daniel Seago and Jenna Danielle Seago; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elsie and Marvin Potter, Linda Diana and Mike High, all of Mauriceville, Cathy Savage of Rose City and Debbie and David Stephens of Orange.
