Clifford Leon Lyons, 83, of Bridge City passed away at his home Monday, May 27. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday May 30, at the funeral home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Mr. David Abshire and Judge Dennis Powell. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Clifford was born March 8, 1930 in Port Arthur to Jess Garland and Ona Mae (Graham) Lyons. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and enjoyed fishing, gardening and taking photographs. He also enjoyed spending time laughing with his family and wearing baseball caps.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Ann Lester Lyons; parents, Jess Garland and Ona Mae Lyons, and brother, Edward Lyons and wife, Ola.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Betty Hogden and husband Marc of Orange, Al Lyons of Bridge City, Marjorie Dumbaugh and husband, Norman of Springfield, AR and Donna Blalock and husband, Larry of Bridge City; 10 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Leonard Lyons and wife, Kitty of Hemphill and sister, Barbara Welch and her late husband, Johnny of Gilmer.

Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Lyons, Joseph Lyons, Kenneth Lyons, Ricky Lyons, Rodney Young and Josh Ozio.
