LCM Bass Tourney a success

The Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School Bass Team sponsored their first tournament to benefit prostate cancer awareness. The tournament held on Sam Rayburn, raised over $2,000 for the cause. Sixty-seven teams, with over 170 individuals, participated with seven high schools entered; Buna, Deweyville, Jasper, Splendora, Lumberton, Broaddus, and LCM.

The LCM Bass team took the first three spots in the tournament. Trent Manuel and Bryce Rambo took first, with 11.24 pounds; Bruce Burns and Kenny Marple were second, with 11.08 pounds; and Dustin Daigle and Taylor Hulsey came in third, with 10.68 pounds.
