Elsie J. Williams, 78, of Vidor died Wednesday, June 12, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native Apple Springs, TX., she has lived in Vidor since 1954, and was a homemaker. Elsie began the Pie Ministry for local nursing homes through the First Baptist Church of Vidor.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, at First Baptist Church of Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, at Memorial Funeral Home.

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Van Williams; infant daughter; parents Jessie and Annie Revia; step-mother Alma Revia; step-father Reuben "Buster" Burk; and her sisters Verna Chesson and Cherry Burk Tindall.

Elsie is survived by her son John Paul Williams and wife Mona of Vidor; daughters Catherine Williams McNeely and husband Chuck of Vidor, and Cindy Williams Goodding and husband John of Longview; brother Joe Burk of Vidor; sisters Darlene Fontenot of Beaumont, Ann Holcomb of Spurger, and Patricia Turner of Vidor.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Beth McNeely Landry and husband Jeremy, Tonya McNeely and fiancee Chad George, Sarah Goodding Staggers and husband Scott, Micah Goodding, Kristah Goodding Kitchen and husband Lucas, Kalyn Williams Narramore and husband Stephen, Jonathan Van Williams, and Karli Rae Williams; and four great grandchildren.
