July 5, at approximately 3:39 am, Jasper county Troopers were dispatched to a one vehicle crash on FM 1747 in Jasper County, just west of Jasper.

At approximately 3:30 am, a 2009 Pontiac passenger vehicle was traveling southbound on FM 1747.  The driver of the vehicle was traveling at an unsafe speed into a curve and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled off the roadway to the left striking an embankment which caused the vehicle to go airborne.

The driver, 23 year old Kimberly Binsdale of Jasper, was ejected from the vehicle. Binsdale was not wearing a seatbelt.  She was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Ronny Billingsley.

As part of this crash investigation, Troopers collected a blood specimen which will be submitted to a DPS lab for analysis.  Results of the blood analysis usually return within four to six months.

This is an ongoing investigation, and further information will be released as it becomes available.
