An Orange man was arrested Monday, July 8, for camping in public places. Raymond Lamar Ross was taken into custody after police observed him sleeping under the overpass at IH-10 and 16th St. about 2:53 am.

Ross had been advised earlier in the day to move on and not camp under the overpass. Police said there were piles of trash, empty food containers and beer cans under the overpass.

After the second time Ross was seen sleeping under the overpass, he was arrested and transported to the Orange County Jail.
