Pinehurst Police Dept. swears in Trussell
The Pinehurst Police Department’s newest officer, Jocelyn Trussell, was sworn in by Chief Fred R. Hanauer III on Friday, July 12. Trussell, 30, and a 2001 graduate of Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School, is married to John Trussell of Orange. They have two children, Jaden and Jude. She graduated from the Lamar Police Academy in May of 2011.
Present at the ceremony were Trussell’s family, including her mother and grandmother, several police department employees as well as Mayor Pete Runnel’s and City Administrator Joe Parkhurst. Trussell’s husband, John, had the honor of pinning her badge onto her uniform as part of the ceremony.
