Ricky Gene Goats, 58 was born Nov. 21, 1954 in Pasadena, TX. He attended and graduated from Bridge City High School, being part of the class of ‘75. He also attended Lamar University. Ricky was a long time resident of Lake Jackson, where he owned a successful painting business.

"Uncle Rick" was best known for his generosity and his ever-positive spirit no matter what life dealt him at the time. He was loved by family and friends alike, and will be missed down here no matter how much the Lord needed him up there.

"Uncle Rick" went to be with the Lord Friday, July 5.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, A.C. (Al) Goats.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Goats, brother Ross Goats; sisters Sondra Mora, and Shana Maceda, as well as seven nieces, a nephew, and great nephew. Ricky is also survived by his former wife, Sandie Goats.

Memorial servicewill be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday July 20, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American or British Diabetes Association in Ricky's memory.
