David Vance Watson Sr., 48, of Orangefield passed away on Saturday, July 27, at his residence. He was native of Texas City; born on Nov. 15, 1964 to his late parents Delores Mae (Prather) and James David Watson.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science at University of Oregon and had lived in many parts of the country, with the last five years in Southeast Texas. David was a loving man. He enjoy spending time with family and friends, and will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Kira Watson.
His memory will be cherished by his girlfriend, Tonya Sue Manuel of Orange; sons, David Vance Watson Jr. and his wife, Katrinna of Vidor, Dreyan Alexander Watson of Elmira, OR; step daughter, Brianna Baurley of Miami, FL; sisters, Donna Wiebahous of Liberty, Karen White of Houston, Sandy Boes of McKinney; granddaughter, Alexandria Lynn; grandsons, Bryan and Dax Watson and numerous extended family members and friends.
A visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Dorman Funeral Home; with a memorial service at 4:00 pm. Cremation will be held under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.
