Tuesday, July 30, at 5:51 am., Orange police were dispatched to UTMB, located at 2014 10th St. Upon arrival, Officer Tim Pruitt met with the UTMB nurse practitioner.

The victim advised that just before she called police, she arrived at the clinic. As she was unlocking the door, a black male approached her on foot. The suspect displayed a silver pistol, and demanded money and the victim’s purse. The suspect pulled the victim’s purse from her shoulder, and left running around the north side of the building.

The black male was described as being 5’ 8” to 5 10” tall, mid 20’s, thin build with medium to dark skin. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts and tennis shoes, with a white rag covering his face.

The victim told police she would press charges if the suspect was determined.
