Leola F. Hutson, 83, of Deweyville passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at her residence. Leola was native of Patmos, Ar.; born on June 11, 1930 to parents Mary Bessie (Gray) and Lawrence W. Whitehead.

She had lived in the Deweyville area for 56-plus years, and had a great faith in God. Leola enjoyed gardening, sewing, pole fishing at the lake, and going to town. She went to the Little Rock School for the Deaf, where she met Helen Keller. Leola loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Leola was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Whitehead; husband, Calvin Edward Hutson; sisters, Catherine Burns, Maxine Burns; brother, Leslie Whitehead.

She is survived by her children, Patsy Buntyn and husband, John of Deweyville, Edwin L. “Buddy” Hutson and wife, Marsha F. of Orange, Robert A Hutson and wife, Kathy of Newton; grandchildren, Tonya Barnes and husband, William Turner Barnes, Shon Williamson, Michelle L. Maple and husband Melvin Maple, Brian Bigby Hutson and wife, Krissy, Calvin Hutson and wife, Mary, and 14 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, Aug. 8, at Dorman Funeral Home.A funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 9, at 10:00 am, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at King Cemetery.
