On Friday, Aug. 16, Officers from the Orange Police Department Narcotics Division, along with the DEA, arrested nine suspects from a multiple count indictment.

Approximately one year ago, Sgt. Jason Laughlin, of the Orange Police Narcotics Division, opened an investigation of a ring of persons obtaining fraudulent prescriptions from a local doctor’s office. An office employee of the doctor’s office was forging the prescriptions as part of a larger ring of people, who would then pick up the drugs at local pharmacies and bring them back to the ring leader for cash or drugs. The local Doctor was not involved.

Wednesday, Aug. 14, the Orange County Grand Jury returned 23 indictments on 10 people involved in this ring. Friday, Aug. 16, the following nine persons were arrested: Debra Godfrey, seven counts; Glen Dorrell, two counts; Peggy Gisclair, one count; Kacey Larkin, two counts; Candy Rash, four counts; Brittany Manning, one count; Derrik Tregre, two counts; Olivia Wilson, two counts; Brian Larkin, one count. .

One suspect, Gary Miller, with one count, is still at large.
