Alice Faye Eitel Wright Dowling, 70, of Orange, passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, at her residence. Born on Jan. 9, 1943 in Orange, to the late Uel Navera Eitel and Goldie Maye (Moore) Eitel, she was a lifelong resident of Orange, and a homemaker.

Mrs. Dowling was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed taking photos, playing cards, going to the casino, spending time with her family - especially her grandkids. She had a loving heart, and her home was always open to many. She also enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and Alan Jackson.

Mrs. Dowling is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Evelyn Sidman and Geneva Oakley; her brother, James Uel Eitel and her husbands, Chester Wright and William E. “Cap” Dowling.

Those who will most cherish her memory are her daughter, Danielle Dowling; sons, Jody Wright, and wife, Cathy, all of Little Cypress, Kevin Wright, and wife, Cat, of Orange, and David Dowling, of Little Cypress; sister, Connie Sue Collins James, of Orange; grandchildren, Erica Wright, Erin Wright, Stephen Wright, Darrin Jenkins and Matthew Wright; great grandchildren, Matthew Pruyne, Beaux Hebert, Kaylee Jenkins and Kyle Holden.

Mrs. Dowling is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Services to remember her life will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, Aug. 25, in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange. Interment will follow in Jett Cemetery in Orange. A gathering of Mrs. Dowling’s family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
