The celebration of life for Mrs. Madeline Wilson, 80, of Orange, will be Saturday, Aug. 24, at 1:00 p.m. at the Mount Olive Baptist Church.

Rites of christian entombment will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens Mausoleums under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

She died Sunday, August 18.

A native of Churchpoint, LA, she resided in Orange 77 years. She retired from the former Orange Memorial Hospital after 28 years as a Nurse’s Aide. An active member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church, she was a Deaconess, served on the Usher Board, and Pastor’s Aide Committee. She was also involved with the Caring Kitchen, Mission Society, and the Youth Usher Board.

Survivors include daughters Patricia Williams (Isiah), and Mary Colbert of Austin, Sandra Henson of Beaumont, Cheryl January (Phillip) of Orange, and adopted daughter Karen Gibson (Lonnie) of Houston; 11 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
