James Blaine Crews, 89, of Orange passed away Monday, August 26, at Sabine House Nursing Home.

James was a native of Advance, Mo. He was born Ja. 30, 1924 to Edith (Krineheader) and Vernie Crews. He had lived in the Orange area since 1994 after moving from Brighton, Il. He was a WWII Army veteran. He enjoyed going fishing, hunting, growing fruit and training dogs for rabbit hunting. James was a loving and caring person who will be missed dearly, especially by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernie Crews; wife, Eileen (Mundy) Crews and sister, Dorothy Cates.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Norman Crews and wife, Debbie of Bridge City; grandson, Brett Crews and wife, Judy of Buna; and LaVelle Crews of Pacific, Mo.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Septe. 4, at 10:00 am at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey, Il, with the Rev. Roger Bruce officiating pastor of River of Life Community Church officiating. Cremation was held under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.
