Kenneth James Nelson, 56, passed away Monday, Sept. 2, at St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur after a brief illness.

Kenny was born in Wilmington, DE on March 23, 1957 and has been a resident of Texas since 1962.

Among his survivors are his parents, Dr. Richard and Joan Nelson of Orange; his sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn and Barry McKenzie of Orange; sister, Kimberly Bynum of Denver, CO; nephew Kyle Bynum and wife, Jessica of Denver, and Stephen McKenzie of Beaumont. He is also survived by his grandnephew and niece, Ryan and Serenity Bynum of Denver.

Cremation will be conducted by Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Interment will be held Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 2:00 p.m. at the Columbarium Garden at First Presbyterian Church in Orange, under the direction of Pastor Mike Umbenhaur.
